Lancashire Sings Christmas 2020
Lancashire Sings Christmas
Thursday 17th December
This year we ask you again to take Lancashire Sings Christmas to those in our community who are socially isolated. This may be to those who may be unwell with a carer, or just someone at home alone. This is a good way to re-connect with members of the community which our churches are called to serve.
In line with this please also take a look at the Christmas Alone Project 2017.
Here is a note from organiser Chris Byland:
I’ve been running Christmas Alone – a campaign which lists all the venues on an interactive map which are open on Christmas day who are running something beyond a Christmas morning service – a lunch, gathering, light entertainment etc – for those people who might be on their own. Last year we got picked up by the Huffington Post and listed on all their platforms (Website/social media) across December. The overall idea is to give people the choice of somewhere to go on Christmas day if they don’t want to be on their own; something thousands and thousands of people across the UK struggle with.
